Pilates Mat Classes

About my classes

I follow the Body Control Pilates method which takes the original, classical exercises created by Joseph Pilates and breaks them down step by step while keeping posture, alignment, breathing and balanced strength quite literally at the core of every movement. The classes allow you to work at your own pace and there are always options to progress or regress the exercises.  Once you’re familiar with the fundamentals, more dynamic and challenging exercises will be introduced to further strengthen your body and your mind.

While the classes are suitable for everyone, some sessions are more advanced than others so please check the timetable and description of levels below to find the best one for you.  If you haven’t tried Pilates before, I recommend booking a 1-1 session with me before joining a group so you can get to grips with the basics and we can chat through any questions you have.

Classes are bookable in advance in half-term blocks and the terms run in line with the Surrey state school timetable.  The cost of each block varies depending on how many weeks are in the term, but it works out at £12 per class. If you're unable to attend a class you can switch to another class within the same block (subject to availability) or if you know at the time of booking that you can’t make one week, you can book a ‘holiday week’ and pay for one week less. Please note that classes cannot be carried over to future blocks.  You’re welcome to attend a free trial class before committing.

Group Classes

Join a friendly, relaxed and welcoming class where you can step away from daily stresses and take time to reconnect with your mind, body and breath. Each session focuses on building strength, improving flexibility, and learning to move with greater ease and awareness. With small class sizes (max 12), you’ll benefit from personal attention and guidance in a calm, supportive space.

Classes take place in the Ralli room at the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, in the heart of Ashtead village. Parking is available directly outside in the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall Pay & Display car park.
